Every year, SAL hosts the Spring Animation Festival to showcase the proud work that the undergraduate animation students have made in during the school year. Faculty, friends, family, and industry professionals are invited to view 2D, 3D, stop motion, and experimental films. Storyboards, life drawings, and more are also submitted. During the festival itself, we announce the winners of several student grants that will go towards funds for next year's upcoming student films!

Each year, the Spring Animation Festival poster and supplementary artwork is chosen through a poster competition among the students themselves. We work with the student to finalize their design, and they join a long line of Spring Animation Festival artwork that is displayed through posters, brochures, and advertisements. We are excited to have digitalized the SAL archive in order to preserve the work of future and past students online.
